CHINA’S ByteDance has agreed to completely exit the US operations of TikTok completely in a bid to save a deal with the White House, after Donald Trump announced a ban of Chinese-owned platform.
ByteDance was previously seeking to keep minority stake in the US business of TikTok, which the White House rejected, now the China based company will let Microsoft Corp take full control over TikTok.
