Bradley Walsh welcomed four celebrities onto a special edition of The Chase last night as they joined forces to try and win a large sum of money for their respective charities. However, the ITV host was left exasperated when one contestant failed to follow the rules during her head-to-head with Chaser, Anne Hegerty despite numerous attempts by Bradley to remind her of the rules.
In the hot seat was Good Morning Britain host Ranvir Singh, former Rugby star Ugo Monye, journalist Mariella Frostrup and journalist John Sergeant.
Mariella was third up to face Anne after earning an impressive £7000 in the cash builder round.
Ranvir and Ugo had already secured £12,000 for the jackpot but Mariella decided to take a gamble by taking the higher offer of £78,000.
However, the journalist didn’t make things easy for herself as she seemed to forget the game rules during a head-to-head with Anne.

Mariella got off to a great start by answering her first question correctly but she almost forgot to press the buzzer before her time ran out.
Bradley then asked: “What name follows ‘George’ in the name of a singer-songwriter and goes before ‘Pound’ in the name of a poet?”
The possible answers were Harrison, Michael and Ezra but Mariella completely forgot she needed to press the buzzer.
Instead, she shouted out “Ezra” and Bradley quickly reminded her to press the button.
The options were Kent, Northumberland and Somerset but once again Mariella called out “Somerset” before a flustered Bradley told her to press her button.
“Next time I am going to wait for you to shout out the answer and then I am going to press the button!” Anne joked.
Luckily, Mariella only had one question remaining and answered it correctly to secure her spot in the final.
Earlier in the show, Ranvir took a brutal swipe at Bradley as he quizzed her on what it was like to meet Jeremy Paxman.
