Though both networks are owned by NBC Universal, the 52-year-old reality star wants to make the jump after negotiations are still ongoing about coming back to RHOA.
The news comes after NeNe denied she was axed from the franchise on Wednesday and instead, insisted conversations for next season are still ongoing.
However, an insider told The Sun that the outspoken TV personality wants an entirely new spinoff outside of the Bravo sphere.
“NeNe is pursuing her own show at E! because she’s felt like her time at Bravo has been up for awhile,” they said after the star’s tumultuous season.
The informant added that whenever she does leave RHOA she wants to “go out on her own terms.”
Nene has been “pushing for [the spinoff] behind Bravo’s back so when they do let her go, she looks like she came out on top with something else already in the works.
“Bravo isn’t budging on the contracts so unless she accepts that, it looks like she won’t be coming back [to RHOA],” the insider revealed.
The source also claimed that E! “has shown no interest in green-lighting the series” so far.
A spokesperson for Bravo has denied the star’s departure, and told The Sun that “Nene was not fired and conversations for the next season are still ongoing.”

Yesterday, blogger Love B. Scott reported that Nene had been fired, claiming that she had not received a pickup letter from the network.
Nene laughed off rumors that she had been let go on Wednesday night.
She first posted a series of laughing emojis without context before tweeting again.
“I promise I’ll be the first to tell you myself! Thanks you for the love,” she wrote.
Steven Grossman, Nene’s manager, stood by Bravo and said: “It is absolutely not true that Nene has been fired from RHOA.
“Furthermore, it was made abundantly clear prior that she will always be welcome on the series as long as she wants to be.”
Steven noted they are “having on-going bigger picture conversations with NBC Universal and have not made any decisions regarding next season specifically.
“Any speculation or sources trying to create controversy by stating otherwise are incredibly inaccurate,” he added.
Nene got into an explosive fight with Eva Marcille[/caption]
During the RHOA reunion, Eva and Nene had to be muted[/caption]
Nene has feuded with almost all of her costars during season 12, including rivals Kandi Burruss, 44, Eva Marcille, 35, and Yovanna Momplaisir.
During the RHOA reunion in May, Andy Cohen, 52, was forced to mute an explosive fight between Eva and Nene.
The two housewives screamed over each other for an entire minute while arguing which person was more successful.
