One player from the star-studded field at the RBC Heritage in South Carolina, US, had mysteriously withdrawn during the second round.

There was no official word from the PGA Tour at the time of writing.

This is golf’s second tournament since its enforced break due to Covid-19.

No fans are allowed on courses and strict social distancing measures are in place.

One highly respected American journalist tweeted: “Multiple sources have confirmed a player on the PGA Tour has tested positive for Covid-19.”
