A MAN was arrested on suspicion of an attempted murder after a ‘random attack’ which hospitalised a woman.
Surrey Police said the 45-year-old man was arrested after the grim attack in Warren Road, Reigate, East Surrey at about 5.40pm on Sunday.
A woman was rushed to hospital after the assault and remains in a serious condition.
Detective Sergeant Kerry Akehurst said: “We have arrested someone in connection with what appears to be a completely random attack.

Enquiries are continuing after the arrest of the man, who is from Reigate.
