Louise Minchin, 51, is not presenting the BBC morning news show this week with Naga Munchetty taking over her presenting duties. It has been confirmed that Louise is on annual leave but as she takes some time away from the BBC studio what is known of Louise’s family life?
Louise is married to husband David Minchin, and the par celebrated 22 years of marriage this year.
The couple also have two daughters – Mia, 18, and Scarlett, 15 – together.
Last month Louise opened up to Good Housekeeping about how lockdown has impacted her family life.
Talking about her family’s new routine amid lockdown, Louise said: “I go to work at 3:40am, get home at around 11am and have breakfast with my eldest daughter, Mia, and then she goes and does her university work.”

Louise explained: “For me, the biggest change is that you have no makeup artist anymore, which was really a shock.
“The first day of social distancing, my makeup artist came in, and she stood two and a half metres away and told me what to do.
“I just don’t wear makeup in my actual life. I don’t give a stuff what I look like, much to my children’s horror.”
