CORRIE star Angela Griffin has opened up to Fabulous Magazine about what’s on her bucket list and her celebrity crushes.
In the revealing interview, the White Lines actress, 43, shares her dream America road trip and confesses she has a soft spot for Chris Hemsworth.
What is your favourite word?
Flannel. I like the way it feels in my mouth.
What’s your worst habit?
I pick my ears. I put my earlobe in between my thumbnail and thumb and squeeze it so hard it chaps, and I pick the skin off.
Who would you like to say sorry to?
I would like to say sorry to Mrs Pinder, who was a supply school teacher. We terrorised her and chucked our pencils at her.
All-time favourite movie?
The Color Purple. I introduced my girls [Tallulah, 16, and Melissa, 13] to it during lockdown and they loved it, too.
Angela’s first big break in TV came when she was 16 with a role in Corrie[/caption]
Favourite TV programme as a child?
Press Gang, because I wanted to be in it!
Which public figure do you admire?
Michelle Obama. I find her inspirational, so together, and she’s someone who is using her position for good.
What is top of your bucket list?
I really want to do the drive from San Francisco to LA and also go to Australia.
What would be your epitaph?
She was kind and worked hard.
The Corrie star says she could never leave the house without her phone[/caption]
What would you save from a burning building?
Other than living creatures, I would save the photo albums.
What do you never leave the house without?
My phone. I have no excuse to shout at my children as I’m always on mine.
If you could travel back in time, where would you go?
Knowing I would meet my husband Jason [Milligan, an actor], and have two children, I’d go back to being 22 and live without all that angst of: “Will I work? Will I own a home?”
What good do you think will come out of lockdown?
For me, it has been positive. We’ve been eating as a family, talking and watching films. I’ve always wanted to direct but if it wasn’t for the situation, I don’t know when I would have had the chance.
Angela directed ITV’s Isolation Stories and YouTube drama Dun Breedin’.
How do you relax?
I love playing Animal Crossing on the Nintendo Switch, which I bought myself.
It’s a really brilliant thing to zone out on.
Who was your first kiss?
A boy called Richard when I was nine.
He had a gobstopper and I really wanted one and so he said: “Alright, give me a kiss and you can have one!”
Who is your celebrity crush?
Chris Hemsworth, who is Thor. I also love Ryan Gosling.

I had an audition for the National Youth Music Theatre when I was 15 and I got through the first round. Two people from our school got invited down to London and I didn’t go as I was too scared.
What’s been your greatest achievement?
I got my first big break in TV when I was 16 with Corrie. Now I’ve been in the business for 30 years and I’m still here.
Who is the love of your life?
My husband. We have been together for nearly 20 years.
