BORIS Johnson is the man guiding the UK through these uncertain times, as the coronavirus pandemic has changed the lives of Brits entirely.

The Prime Minister is expected to reveal new easing of lockdown measures today (Tuesday, June 23), which could see punters return to pubs and hotels reopen.

What time is Boris Johnson’s speech today?

Since the coronavirus outbreak Boris Johnson has given a number of speeches announcing how the government is tackling the spread of Covid-19.

His next speech is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, 2020 and is likely to take place in the Commons.

A Downing Street spokesperson has confirmed he will make a statement at 12.30 if no urgent questions are made during Commons.

The PM has been under increasing pressure to reduce the two metre social distancing rule in England.

It has been anticipated Mr Johnson will announce the reopening of the hospitality sector and reduce or scrap the two metre rule.

A No10 spokesperson said: “The reason we are able to move forward this week is because the vast majority of people have taken steps to contain the virus. 

“The more we open up, the more important it is that everyone follows the social distancing rules. 

“We will not hesitate to put the handbrake on to stop the virus running out of control.”
