Ben, 45, was on hand to host Friday’s edition of Good Morning Britain presenting alongside co-star, Charlotte Hawkins, 45. The pair discussed the latest headlines from across the globe with a panel of guests, talking about subjects such as coronavirus and the Pride of Britain Awards. However, throughout the show, Andi Peters, 49, was back to inform ITV viewers about the coveted competition details. Unfortunately, the segment didn’t go entirely to plan and following a technical blunder, the Tipping Point star said he would also have “put the phone down” on his colleague.
As he has done every day since the pandemic began, Andi has been trying to entertain viewers from his garage at home.
Wanting to spice things up today, the presenter wanted to make things more interactive by getting one person watching from home to call in for Free Cash Friday.
The lucky recipient who got to speak with the broadcaster was Lauren, who just by answering the phone managed to win some money.
Whilst talking to the viewer, however, the phone line was cut off, forcing the presenter to dial the caller back.
Following the comical moment and after the pair were reconnected, Ben jointly said he had also had enough of his co-star.

After being told she had won £3,000, Lauren was asked what she was going to be spending some of the money on.
As she went to answer, the signal seemed to drop out, with Andi constantly asking if the caller was still on the line.
The presenter then tried ringing her back as he congratulated once again on her achievement of winning the cash prize.
When the phone call was finally reconnected, Ben’s co-star asked Lauren what had happened, to which she replied she had no idea.
In a discussion of the blunder, once the call had ended, Ben hit back as he told Andi: “To be fair to Lauren, I know exactly how she feels.
“He does bang on a bit. In the end, you just have to put the phone down,” the host joked as Charlotte also joined in.
Mimicking a competition winner, the latter said: “I’ve won the money, I don’t need to talk to him anymore.”
“That’s enough AP. Zip it,” the Tipping Point co-star jibed as Andi replied: “So rude, so rude,” before the segment ended.

Taking to social media, those watching at home also commented on Andi’s competition segment as confetti cannons went off to mark the caller’s achievement.
One viewer wrote on Twitter: “Look at the trepidation on @andipeters face as he waits for the inevitable bang! #GMB.”
Another posted on the micro-blogging site: “Don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone sound so underwhelmed after just winning £3k. #GMB.”
Whilst a third commented: “@GMB @benshephard @CharlotteHawkns omg my phone rung the same time as Andy did his competition for one moment I thought I was a winner but it was just the wife telling me to take the chicken out of the freezer #gmb.”
Also on this morning’s show, the presenter’s marked their colleague Dr Hilary Jones’, 67, birthday but viewers couldn’t get over how old he was.
Taking to Twitter in light of the discovery about his age, one wrote: “His Wikipedia page says he is 67??? Surely not.”
Another added on the social media platform: “Top Bloke all the best mate have a great day and here’s to many more ahead.”
“Happy birthday fellow gemini. Thanks for keeping us calm and informed during covid 19. Well when you weren’t being shouted over that is,” a third quipped.
