Argos’ standalone stores have started reopening after the retailer shut all 700 stores on March 23. Argos stores began opening their doors last week, after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced an easing of lockdown rules.
Argos hasn’t revealed a list of exact locations for its reopened stores.
In a statement, the retailer said: “Following guidelines in England and Northern Ireland, we have opened some stores in these areas for the collection of pre-paid online orders.
“We will continue to open more stores over the coming weeks.
“You can use the store locator to get updates on your nearest stores.
“The Argos website is open as usual and still offering fast delivery.”
What are the rules when visiting Argos?
Argos has social distancing measures in place, which means customers must stay two metres apart.
You may also have to queue to get inside stores.
Argos CEO Simon Roberts said: “Our colleagues will be following social distancing guidelines at all times, including when they collect items from the warehouse and bring them to the collection counter.
“This might mean it takes them a little longer than usual
to serve you – please bear with them, they are doing everything they can to help you in these exceptional circumstances.”
